My first order of business with this and every product review is a disclaimer: I am not a professional contractor. I am a farmer and a fine furniture maker. When it comes to construction and renovation projects, I’m a DIYer and weekend warrior. That said, I doubt many professional contractors will be reading my tool reviews. My goal in reviewing tools and products is to provide honest feedback based on my own use and experience with these tools to other regular folks like me- wanting to get their hands dirty, try new things, and get the best value for their hard earned dollars.

Let’s talk about the M12FUEL 12v LI Brushless Cordless 4-in-1 installation 3/8” Drill/Driver Kit with 4 tool heads!

Versatility and power made their match in this handy little tool from Milwaukee. This installation drill/driver comes with four different heads for various applications, a standard 1/4” hex, 3/8” chuck, offset and right angle heads. The attachments connect in 16 different positions for access at almost every angle. That, paired with the flat tool top, which allows for drilling/fastening with the tool flush to a surface, makes it possible to fasten just about anything just about anywhere. Despite its compact size (2 lbs with a battery in it). it delivers up to 300 lbs of max torque for install applications. The front of the tool has a magnetic strip that doubles as a bit and fastener holder that comes in especially handy. The brushless motor delivers tons of power with a quick start and stop.

The only thing about this tool that’s taken some getting used to is the forward/backward button located on top of the tool. I’d personally prefer a physical toggle switch because it’s what I’ve become accustomed to using on every other drill/driver I’ve ever used. I also worry that the button will wear out. It also makes it impossible to just pick up the tool and “feel” whether the drill is in forward or reverse. That small complaint aside though, this tool is worth the space it takes up in any tool chest and then some. Light and compact, with PLENTY of power, the different heads and indexing positions make this tool capable of jobs it’s competitors simply can’t tackle.

At $230, would I buy this tool again? Absolutely. IT’s earned a spot in my regular toolkit.
