Hand Carved Butter Paddle

Hand Carved Butter Paddle

$80.00

When I have some downtime in the office, when I’ve got a problem I need to think through, or when I’m stuck in a zoom meeting, carving useful objects out of wood gives my hands something to do.

These very useful Butter Paddles were designed by Josh Nava during his 365 Spoons Project back in 2014. What is a Butter Paddle you ask? It is a dedicated utensil that lives with your butter crock or butter dish and is used for spreading butter. Once you get one, you’ll find it being used everyday.

NOTE: Because these are hand carved, expect natural variations in wood grain patterns and minor differences in overall shape. Our carved items are sold with the facets from the carving process intact. They are then lightly sanded to smooth any roughness and coated with a natural Walnut Oil and Beeswax finish.

Wood selection is determined by the current availability of different woods, and while I can’t individually photograph and list each individual paddle, rest assured that you will be getting either a walnut or cherry paddle made from wood I sustainably felled right here on my farm.
