Hands On Live Sharpening 2 Hour Class

Hands On Live Sharpening 2 Hour Class

$30.00

Sharpening is a big topic. There are dozens of sharpening systems on the market, and no one can agree on which system is best. New woodworkers struggle to get their first keen edge, and even experienced woodworkers often wonder if they should try a new sharpening system. Most woodworking teachers are dedicated to a single approach, and they teach their method as if it was the only one. Many precious hours have been wasted on pointless arguments over technique and equipment.

We’d like to help.

Anne Briggs, Rex Krueger, and James Wright are teaming up to deliver a two-hour live course on sharpening. In this wide-ranging class, the three teachers will cover sharpening theory, popular sharpening systems, and practical sharpening techniques in the hand tool shop. Beginning woodworkers will get a thorough introduction to sharp edges: how to get them and how to test them. Students will also get details on the major types stones and tips on how to pick the right ones for your shop. Intermediate and advanced woodworkers will learn about alternative methods and modern equipment for those looking to upgrade an old sharpening setup.

The class will be Wednesday, May 24th at 8pm, EST. After you purchase your ticket, you’ll receive a zoom link in your e-mail. The hangout is a separate purchase.
